Description

North Horse Loop is one of two main loops open to horses that form a bit of an hour glass shape along with the West Horse Trail. The trail is wider than the running trails and made with the assistance of gravel fill. The trail begins at the equestrian parking area and heads north. It follows the edge of the park more or less half way up the hillside. At the northern end of the loop, you'll pass a spur to the Lewis and Clark Trail, the Bike Path, and the Law School. The loop turns south and parallels the Lewis and Clark Trail which you'll be able to occasionally see. At the southwestern most point of the trail, you can take the High Bridge to North Horse Loop Spur to the West Horse Trail or a number of other pedestrian-only trails. The loop finishes by heading northeast back to near the beginning.
