The trail is located just off the upper parking lot. Running south, the trail bridges the parking lot with the Muddy Run Trail, and eventually the longer Chestnut Path and Bog Run trails.

In the beginning, the trail dips to a small pond with wooden deck and benches. The trail is smooth with no real obstacles. It T's into Muddy Run. A right at the intersection goes back to the main road, and left heads towards Chestnut Path and the base of the hill at Cabin Hollow.
