The parking fee at South Yuba River State Park is $5 daily or free with an annual pass.
This trail makes for a great run that benefits from beautiful surroundings and cooler temperatures due to the river.
This smooth trail gently hugs the hillside adjacent to the South Yuba River. The undemanding tread allows runners to focus on the beautiful backdrop provided by the river and terrain. In the spring, the surrounding hillsides erupt in a display of bright wildflowers.
The South Yuba River Park Association offers guided tours on the Buttermilk Bend Trail in the spring. Visit their events page to find out more by clicking here
