“One of the more challenging trails at Parma Park, Stanwood has some hills to give you a workout.”
— Kristen Arendt
Starting off from the Fire Access Road
, Stanwood greets runners with a short climb up through an open area, followed by a somewhat steep descent as the trail winds back into the trees. The second half of the trail will give you a good workout as you have a steady half-mile ascent to connect back to the Fire Access Road
. While the trail is very manageable, it is a little bit more challenging than the other trails in Parma Park due to the slightly steeper grades.
Flora & Fauna
Chaparral, oak woodland, riparian forest, coastal sage scrub, and remnant patches of native grassland.
