Description

The Fourth of July Trail #173 is a steady, but mostly gradual, climb from the Fourth of July Campground to Cerro Blanco Trail #79. The trail climbs through dense woods and provides access to the Manzano Mountain Wilderness Area. Runners also have the option to head north on the Albuquerque Trail #78 to make a loop or continue straight past this trail junction to the trail's end at the Cerro Blanco Trail.

Photo doesn't do this justice. Some fall color in the area. Sorry this is not along the trail, I missed the turn at the switch back and got this along the way back to the trail.
