Risky roots for runners, and mud as well at times in low spots.
At about the halfway point, you are right up above the confluence of the Big Walnut Creek and Alum Creek. This path is curvy and windy but not too long, giving you a few different interesting perspectives of the park, from where the woods seem thickest at the start, until you are adjacent to the creek leading up to the confluence, then a few open spots in banks along the path, and then back alongside the creek, until you end up under the bridge of the Alum Creek trail.
This trail is an exciting path with turns and changes along the way and gorgeous nature to observe.
