Description

This short spur off Granite Lake Trail is well worth a detour (or an run on it's own - see Maggie's Peak), though it does add a bit of vertical to your run. From the saddle on the Granite Lake Trail, take a left and wander through open forest and boulders. This spur will climb steadily until you reach the summit, but the short distance makes this route doable. The summit has huge views of Mt. Tallac, the Crystal Range, and of course Granite Lake, Emerald Bay, and Lake Tahoe.
