With a well-maintained tread and rolling trail, this is an excellent route for runners.

From the Owl's Perch Trail, you can go either direction along this loop. Either direction will take you to the Sunny Aspen Trail and further on to the Old Ski Run Trail. This trail winds through aspens and pines along a well-marked trail that gently winds up and down while maintaining a steady ascension. There are some open areas while most of the trail is well shaded.

Once you've reached the far end of the trail, you can expect the grades to mellow, and you'll begin to gradually lose elevation as you return to your starting point.
