Overview

This course has parts of the West Deptford Cross Country Course used by West Deptford High School. The trails are well defined with no cross trails. Some portions of the trail can be a little rough (roots and rocks) but overall this is a very nice course. The cross country course includes a variety of terrains including grass, dirt, asphalt, wooden bridges, and possibly mud.

Runner Notes

Some sections are rooty. Several built structure bridges. Trails do not drain well, so running immediately after rain is not advised.

Description

Begin from the parking lot and follow the West Deptford Park Walking Trail. The trail winds around soccer fields and crosses the main entry road. The trail crosses a paved road a second time where you turn left and continue to the Basketball Courts Cross Country Segment. At the end of this section return to the West Deptford Park Walking Trail. Continue to the far end of the open fields and enter the Southern Cross Country Trail Segment. This is a short segment that returns you to the West Deptford Park Walking Trail. Continue for approximately 100 yards to a left turn onto the Western Cross Country Trail Segment. This trail ends at the West Deptford Park Walking Trail and the end of the loop.
