Features: River/Creek — Views — Wildlife
Exceptional trail run considering the compacted gravel surface, not much in the way of obstacles either.
The trailhead is located directly across the road from the Blue Jacket Trail
; use the same parking lot. You'll have to pass by a playground to get to the trailhead.
The trail itself is compacted gravel, and is easy enough to travel with tennis shoes. There are not much in the way of highlights except awesome views of the Ohio River.
The Ohio River during summer features thick deciduous forest, which can block the views. The best time for vistas, especially in southern Ohio, is early spring or late fall.
