Runner Notes
A flat, easy run on a paved path.
Description
This path starts in Telluride at the intersection of Davis and Colorado. It parallels Highway 145, eventually connecting to the Galloping Goose Trail and Upper Valley Floor in Lawson Hill. The other option is to make a complete loop of the Valley Floor by connecting with the west end of the San Miguel
River Trail on the south side of the Valley Floor.
While the trail isn't very secluded as it runs right next to Hwy 145 (the main drag to get into downtown Telluride), the valley itself is still beautiful as the San Miguel River creates a lush, green setting. If running the trail toward town, you'll be able to appreciate the ever-stunning views of Bridal Veil and Ingram Falls as well as the beautiful views of the Sneffles range and the aspen covered hillsides that surround you.
Flora & Fauna
Elk and deer in the meadow. Aspens, cottonwoods, and a variety of wildflowers.
