This trail circles historic Wright Park, founded in 1886, nestled between the Hilltop and Stadium neighborhoods. The park boasts a variety of trees, art throughout the park, as well as a botanical garden on the east side of the trail. Smaller trails crisscross the park, making it easy to add variety for regular hikers and trail runners.

Traveling clockwise around the park, you'll begin with a short incline to the east ridge. Looking right you'll catch glimpses of the lower park through the trees. Halfway to the southern end, you'll pass W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory, which houses an assortment of exotic plants, as well as community events.

At the southern end of the loop, you'll pass a Bowling Green. Turning north, the spray park and restrooms will be easily visible to the east. The playground is a great place to get an extra workout in the morning using the monkey bars, or to stop and use the drinking fountain. Continuing north, users will pass a pond, where ducklings can be seen in the late spring. Picnic tables invite park-goers to stop for a quiet lunch.
