Runner Notes

One of the less-traveled trails in the area, this trail can make for a scenic out-and-back add-on if you are looking to get off the beaten path.

Description

The Boat Creek Trail is just over a mile long, and is a peaceful out-and-back trail that follows along its namesake creek. Boat Creek runs southwest, and the trail roughly parallels the creek and Friendship Ridge Trail. From the trail's start with the junction with Friendship Ridge Trail, the trail descends first steeply and then more gradually along its length. The trail does not connect to any other trails along the way, so you'll have to run this as an out-and-back. Keep in mind that you'll have a steady, but not strenuous, climb on the way back.
