Runner Notes
Flat, pleasant, and long enough to provide a substantial trip, this is a great option for runners. Be aware of your fellow trail users, and yield appropriately.
Description
Departing from the southern end of the Prairie Creek area, this trail offers runners another chance to see the most famous residents of this area: Roosevelt elk. If they're not lounging in the meadows, these majestic animals can sometimes be seen browsing in the shaded woods here.
The path itself is a multi-use trail, so you'll likely see runners, hikers, and cyclists during your outing. The path is smooth and flat, providing a pleasant surface no matter how you choose to travel. Use this trail in conjunction with the
Davison Trail for a longer outing.
