Description

Tranquility Park MTB Trail is Omaha’s first approved off road trail system in the city limits. The trail was designed for mixed use, and you'll find mountain bikers, runners, and hikers getting out to enjoy the trails. These trails are primarily singletrack though there are also some short sections of doubletrack connectors. A good mix of terrain can be found here – everything from tight switchbacks through pine trees, to wide open grassland climbs, followed by rolling descents.

The trail skirts along the bluffs of the Big Papillion Creek and bottom lands. The trail winds along a drainage, through evergreen and deciduous trees, over grasslands and around wetlands. The trail passes by a hub of activity centers like the Moylan Iceplex, Koch Tennis Complex, Tranquility soccer fields, and Kelly Softball Complex. A portable restroom is seasonally available in the soccer field parking lot at 124th & Fort Street. No running water is available.

From I-680, take Fort Street Exit. Go west on Fort St. about two miles to the soccer field entrance located on the south side of Fort at 124th. Park in the back of the first gravel parking lot nearest the farm house.
