“A National Recreation Trail leading through prime Moose habitat.”— David Lingle
Beyond May Cabin, the trail becomes more difficult to follow and is often heavily vegetated but can be taken all the way to the Continental Divide Trail along Anderson Mountain Road.
May Creek Trail can also be usedd as a part of larger loops by connecting to the Ruby/Stephenson Trail or the CDT.
During winter this is a popular ski/snowshoe with parking along MT-43 at the entrance to the campground.
May Cabin can be rented year round via Recreation.gov
