This trail is located in the Port Crescent State Park Day Use area. It's a great trail to be on any time of the year. Much of the trail is wooded with some sand hills and dunes along the lake shore. When you are making your way through the wooded portion of the trail, you'll enjoy the shade and the sense of solitude. As you reach the beach portions of the trail, take a moment to take in the beauty of Lake Huron.
If you're feeling tired, you can take the western branch of the Fitness Trail for shorter outing that has a fine stone pathway.
