Closed when wet or muddy.
You are sharing the trail with bikes so be aware.
This trail begins and ends on the ridge part way up Rabbit Run
. This trail is mostly used by bikes but is open to running and is normally traveled in a counterclockwise direction by mountain bikers. If we runners go clockwise, we can all see each other better in the tall sage and twisty corners.
At the 5-way intersection, head northwest down into Goose Creek. Just before crossing W. Goose Creek Rd., the trail jogs right and you'll see a crosswalk. The trail continues down into Goose Creek and along Old Horseshoe Bend Rd., before cutting east and starting a gradual climb. Enjoy a few ups and downs and a few corners as you gradually make elevation and come to a second crosswalk on W. Goose Creek Rd.
From here, the trail continues to climb and offers a great view of several mountain bike drops and jumps on the nearby downhill trails. This trail actually goes under two bridges/ramps/drops as you climb up to the ridge. This is nice as there is no longer high-speed bike cross traffic across the trail.

Lots of sage.
