“A short run to one of the must-see viewpoints of Death Valley National Park.”— Thomas Birch
The path is wide and paved with very little elevation gain, making it an easy out and back for families or those with limited time or mobility. And the view from the end of the trail is well worth the trip.
The colorful hillsides have been eroded into many fantastic shapes, and the view is particular stunning if you can time your visit to sunrise or sunset.
Runners looking for a longer outing can head out on the Golden Canyon Trail which leaves from the same trailhead for a longer excursion into the hills of the Amargosa Range.
