This route is fairly flat and very easy, perfect for the entire family. It is mostly paved and makes its way around the entire tower.
Need to Know
If you care to scramble around on the boulder field for the extra fun, you have to get a climbing permit. You can get one at the visitors center. Also, this is sacred ground, please do not touch or disturb the prayer cloths that you'll see throughout the park.
Description
From the parking lot, make your way towards Devil's Tower. The trail will start at the edge of the parking lot and then fork once you get closer to the formation. Take a right or a left, either way you'll end up back in the same place you started. This trail weaves its way through trees and boulders and allows you to experience all sides of this incredible rock formation. It is a perfect afternoon jaunt!
