“A short but rooty/rocky trail with just enough variation for kids to enjoy.”

The trail from the upper falls to Wallace Lake is closed until further notice.
This trail can get extremely crowded on the weekends, so get out early to avoid running around many other visitors.
This trail can be steep on the way up, so you're in for a leg burner. You'll start the 2.5-mile climb on a trail that heads through evergreen forests, and the dense tree cover is characteristic of the journey. There are a few sections where rocks can be slick when wet, but aside from that, there are few obstacles in your way.
Make sure to stop at each of the three waterfall viewpoints - lower, middle, and upper falls. The falls are all their own scenic viewpoints, but the middle falls have the best panoramic views of the surrounding area.
