Description
The Bajada Wash trail begins at the Sus Picnic Area in the Saguaro National Park Tucson Mountain District, located just off of Hohokam Road.
The Bajada Wash trail is a leisurely trail that leads visitors through the Sonoran Desert. One can access the trail from from multiple parking areas and starting points. Starting at the Sus Picnic Area will offer you the longest distance over which to enjoy the journey. The trail should be viewed as an out and back trail although there are several other access points along the way.
Please beware that the majority of this trail is in a shallow dry wash (at least "dry" most of the year). Hiking the Bajada Wash trail is a lot like walking on a beach.
After your outing, have a meal in the picnic area and watch the sunset.
Flora & Fauna
Visitors will see many types of desert natives, such as cacti.
