Runner Notes
There is loose gravel in places and packed dirt in others. There are a few creek crosings and at least one section where the road follows the creek bed for a few dozen yards and this section has slick rock under flowing water. There is often OHV traffic.
Description
Bald Rock Fork Road runs along Bald Rock Fork to just upstream of its mouth on Big Sinking Creek. It bisects the main parcel of the PMRP but is a county maintained road. This road can be utilized to form loops with the other trails and roads within PMRP. The Motherlode Hill climb near the eastern end is a great challenge.
Flora & Fauna
There are often lots of wildflowers blooming along the road. Watch out for rattlesnakes and copperheads in summer.
