Description
This is another outstanding section of Ice Age Trail going right through the southwest side of Madison into Verona. While there are lots of activities in the vicinity (neighborhoods, soccer games, festivals, biking paths), the Ice Age Trail miraculously finds itself in solitude in various sections of this trail. Also, there are some decent rolling hill climbs on this route, so it's a lot of fun and a good workout.
Overall, this trail is a favorite of many people in the area, whether for hiking or trail running. What a wonderful treasure to have! Catch some wildflowers here in June/July, or some beautiful fall colors in October. Whitetail deer, foxes, and many species of birds are regularly seen here.
