Description

Harris Trail is a one-mile trail that runs from the Shovelton Trail to the Rock Wall Trail on Wade Mountain.

From the Shovelton Trail, the trailhead is well-marked by a large wooden sign directing you toward a rocky incline that ends near 1/4 mile and 100 feet later near the top of Wade Mountain. For the next 1/2 mile things flatten out with only a few rocky spots to worry about.

At 3/4 of a mile, the trail starts to descend aggressively and 1/10 of a mile later it loops around a large waterfall, which is the highlight of the trail. After heavy rain, it's a beautiful sight and when it's dry you can spend some time crawling around on its large rocks. The last 1/2 mile continues to get steeper and rockier until it finally ends at an intersection with the Rock Wall Trail and the Shovelton Trail.
