Description

Start at the end of Belvedere Avenue. The trail is clearly marked at the trailhead. The trail will immediately cross a wooden bridge over a stream. At the first intersection, stay left to cross another creek. At the next intersection turn right. The trail will now begin to climb. Throughout this section, you'll be in the shade of the forest. After awhile the trail will emerge from the trees for a short stint before diving back into them the maples and buckeyes again. The trail will next climb the Bischof Steps as it curves to the right. The trail passes Table Rock, a large boulder, before another series of switchbacks. Eventually, the trail will once again emerge from the trees though it continues to climb. The trail will turn to the east again.

At about 2.5 miles, there is an intersection with the California Coastal Trail: Section 28 & 29 to the left. This trail will continue to the right. The trail will go in and out of the woods as it winds it's way east. Before reaching Panoramic Highway, it will head north and cross Pan Toll Road. It will now parallel Panoramic Highway for a distance before it heads north away from the highway only to cross it twice shortly. Now deep in the woods it will roughly parallel the highway though at quite a distance before finally ending at Hog Back Road.
