“A beautiful, gently graded bike path winding along the valley from Dobbiaco to Cortina d'Ampezzo.”
— Tad Davis
Features: Lake — River/Creek — Views — Wildflowers
The trail follows the old railway through the valley. The views of the Dolomites and Mount Antelao are incredible the entire way. The path has everything from forested sections to tunnels to bridges over the fast rushing river. The path also passes through many towns so it is easy to run sections of varying lengths. The trail varies from dirt doubletrack to crushed stone to pavement, depending on the section. Note that this is primarily a cycling route, so be aware of cyclists.
