Passing through a spruce and fir forest, you reach treeline in just a short distance. Here, the alpine tundra begins.

The last stretch of the trail offers an overlook of the Bear Creek Basin, including Mount Evans, Mount Goliath, Rogers Peak and Roslin Peak.

There is still quite a bit of snow on the trail in the trees, but still doable. I had trekking poles which helped in some of the trickier spots. Windy 3mi — 1h 30m
