Runner Notes

Given that this is a one-mile out-and-back, it's probably not worth the trip just to run. The views and environment are stunning, however, so if you did find yourself crossing the park on Trail Ridge Road, it's worth checking this one out.

Description

This short, paved trail offers visitors a glimpse into the alpine tundra ecosystem similar to what one would find at much higher latitudes (Siberia, northern Canada, etc..).

Pretty lichen-covered rock formations add to this trail's allure as you stroll away from Trail Ridge Road.
