Steep, faint trail - take it slow so you don't lose the path.

Description

From just past the pool area at Dripping Springs, look for an obscure path that heads steeply up the cliffs. The unmaintained trail curls back on itself to follow the upper fork of Hermit Creek for a ways before reaching the south rim. From here set off along some relatively flat ground through dry scrubland. After joining an old forest road, you reach a little-used trailhead/pull out area along the boundary road.
