Runner Notes
This road is very sandy and is littered with rocks. Be on the lookout for mountain bikers flying down the hill. Additionally, there will be cars traveling to and from Camp Josepho during the first section of the trail.
Description
From the 405, take the Sunset Blvd. exit and head west. After about 3 miles look for Capri Dr. and turn right. Continue all the way to the end of Capri Dr. and start look for parking. Go down to Casale Rd. and you'll see the Sullivan Fireroad on your right
From the trailhead, it will take you on an ascending paved road. Be wary of cars traveling to and from Camp Josepho. In about 2.5 miles, there will be a road split. Go down to Camp Josepho on your left, stay right and continue up the Sullivan
Fire Road, which is now a dirt road.
After another 3 miles of uphill travel, you'll see a yellow gate and the mid-way point on
Mulholland Drive. Enjoy the view of Santa Monica and Pacific to the south, as well as Mulholland and the San Fernando Valley to the north.
Take the same route back and enjoy the downhill run!
