“A trail that is used for horses, but is also used as part of the Skippack Loop Trail.”
— KC93 Ci
Features: Birding — River/Creek
Starting at the parking area, follow the trail to Thompson Rd and turn right. Walk down this road until you get to the turn to Lesher. If you want to cut the run short, you can follow Lesher to the end of this trail.
At the turn, head straight down the trail that seems to go straight when the road turns left. This will take you down to the Skippack Creek. While the trail might be poorly marked, if you follow the creek you'll eventually end up at an area to turn left. If you miss this, you'll get to the bridge. If you cross the bridge you'll get onto the Skippack Loop Trail.
Heading left, you'll go uphill to Lesher Rd. to the point where it becomes abandoned. From here I would turn around if just doing this trail, or head down to the end of Lesher to cross the road.
If you are feeling brave, head left to the end of this trail. There is a very deep stream crossing in which you'll either get completely soaked or get stabbed by thorns finding a way around.
