Starting at the top of Pail Rider Trail - a short uphill connector trail - at a major intersection, head due south. The trail will climb through the open mountainside at first before entering a forested section. The trail continues to switchback and at a tight turn connects to Mt Ascension Loop. Continue up at the trail will finally end at the intersection with Entertainment Trail for a short climb to the peak.

This trail continues south as it contours Mount Ascension to Arrowroot Drive.
