The end of the trail is where you may find yourself really working, but it will all be worth it once you get to the top. The trees are usually cut out by mid-July.
The Skunk Creek trail is a fairly constant moderate climb with a lung buster at the end. This trail is usually done as part of a loop of Skeleton Creek
and is usually accessed from Little Skeleton Creek
. There is a lot of open ridge on this route with some great scenery.
