Runner Notes
Lots of roots. Keep right at any fork in the trail. Watch out for mountain bikes!
Description
One of the closest technical trails to Winnipeg. 100% singletrack. About as much vertical gain/loss as you can expect in the flatlands.
This trail is one of the most popular trails in Manitoba. It is a hard packed trail that was built for mountain bike but is great for a quick run. It has some sections that are smooth along with sections that are tight and rooty. There isn't a lot of elevation change, but what little there is gets used to the fullest.
From the parking lot, start off on the well-worn trail that passes by the picnic shelter. The trail can be rooty in places, and a bit muddy if it has rained recently (especially in low-lying areas). Some areas are sandy.
Keep right at any forks in the trail.
