“Despite its name, Devil's Gulch Trail is a relaxing amble through forest along a peaceful creek.”
— Megan W
From the roadside parking along Sir Francis Drake Blvd., take the paved Devil's Gulch Road
for about 100 yards until you see a trail on the right that follows Devil's Gulch Creek. Follow this ferny trail for another 100 yards to the junction marked with a huge, hollow redwood tree. Continue straight and cross several willow covered seeps that drain into the creek. Climb almost imperceptibly through the woods and an old fruit tree grove, keeping the creek on your left. This trail is an out-and-back which eventually joins Devil's Gulch Road
so turn back when you've had enough peace and quiet. Note: this is a foot-traffic only trail, no horses or bikes allowed.
