Description

This trail is very popular and you can run it from south to north or north to south. Park at either Dixon Reservoir or Claymore Lake to run the full length, or use some of the many connector trails to create loops.

Through the Maxwell Natural Area section there are some technical areas with skinny singletrack and significant obstacles. Other than these two areas, the trail is mostly smooth single and doubletrack with awesome views.

SUPER windy first mile and a half. What a great training trail though! Completely dry today. 5mi

I ran this trail when in the area visiting family. It is a nice uncrowded run in the early morning hours at least. There are some rocks and a few small switchbacks, but nothig major. Nice views of the mountains and the sunrise was great. Aug 26, 2016
