Description

Chimney Gulch is a steep trail connecting Golden and the top of Lookout Mountain.

Beginning from the bottom, the first abrupt 1100 feet provide a good workout, and is also a good way to access the top of Apex Trail.

Parking is available at the trailhead on the south side of Hwy 6. Alternately, a tunnel under the highway is available a short distance to the west of the trailhead (couple hundred meters or so) if running to/from/across the highway.

Stopped when I hit the bridge and slushy snow that leads into the woods. Trail is completely dry up until that point. 2.1mi — 0h 25m
