This trail begins in Lower Beaver Meadow, branching off the Beaver Point Trail
. Range through the open grasslands at the foot of Deer Mountain
heading east. Pass by the terminus of High Drive and various property inholdings. After a gentle descent, you'll see a few structures and the end of Upper High Drive. Cross Buck Creek and immediately begin a steep grinding climb up the hillside to the shoulder of Deer Ridge. The Buck Creek Trail ends at an intersection with the Deer Mountain Trail
in the early 1900's, Pieter Hondius, a cattle rancher in the Upper Beaver Meadows area piped the water from Beaver Brook to a reservoir on Buck Creek. He then sold this water to the cabin owners living on High Drive. Several parts of this water system still exist in RMNP.
