The trail crosses Steep Creek in the lush forest of cedars, hemlocks, ferns, and other vegetation, at the valley bottom between Quartz Mountain and Peewee Peak.

Beautiful cedar forest along the switchbacks climbing up out of the deep Steep Creek Valley on Quartz View Trail.
The trail crosses Steep Creek in the lush forest of cedars, hemlocks, ferns, and other vegetation, at the valley bottom between Quartz Mountain and Peewee Peak.
Nearby on the far right, are forested northern slopes of Peewee Peak. Southern slopes of Jasper Mountain are on the left. Prater Mountain, on the right, is in the distance. In the far distance are snow peaks of the rugged Selkirks.
Steep hillsides, deep valleys, and big trees all make for a great hike on Steep Creek Trail. Steep Creek is at the bottom of the valley below.
Unseen, Steep Creek is at the bottom of the nearby valley on the right and ahead, seen from high on Steep Creek Trail. Northern slopes of Peewee Peak are seen on the far side of this creek valley.
Mountains to the west, seen from high on Pee Wee Trail.
On the forested slopes of Quartz Mountain, Steep Creek Trail travels through the cedars, hemlocks, Douglas firs, ferns, and other beauty.
