Impressive crags on the north side of the trail.
Trail to Alpine and Sawtooth Lakes.
Resting area about halfway to Alpine Lake overlooking part of the canyon and valley. Shortly after this point it becomes rocky and rigid with more difficulty and incline.
Views into the far distance to the east, are seen from a nice lookout below Alpine Lake.
Yes, the trail goes up across that nearby low point for the final push to Alpine Lake, behind the low point.
Iron Creek flows strong as it's full of May snow melt.
Alpine Lake is almost like a perfect mirror.
