Finally reached the alpine zone, this trail was pretty relentless! These are pretty long miles but keep in mind I also hiked this trail in the middle of a hail/thunderstorm. We had to turn around with only 1000 feet to the summit, but we're coming back!

This nice looking dirt path is not typical of the terrain you'll find on these trails. It's much more rocky than this.
