This is just one of several views of the mountains below the timberline.
The snowcat bridge you cross at the Winner Cr. trail junction (avoid the 1st part of A1 Ridge like the plague! Take Winner Cr. trail to A1 and split off here).
The trail crosses a field on boards that gets wet due to snow melt throughout the summer.
Plenty of moose and bear sign on the trail. Expect to see some wildlife!
The trail follows a fire road for a short distance, and then narrows and starts climbing more steeply.
Only a handful of meadows without brush. Enjoy the respite.
