2.3 miles from the beginning of the trail, you reach the park boundary.
Small wildflowers can be seen on the sides of the trail in the winter.
The pig fence at the end of the trail signals the end of the hike as you have reached the park boundary.
The trail runs close to the creek bed, causing trees to be plentiful in the area. This provides shade during the heat of the day while the higher trails in Pinnacles lack the shade.
Looking back toward the trailhead, the trail winds through the trees and the brush. There aren't trees on the hills because it is so dry compared to the creek area.
