The Monarch of the Swamp is a 600-year-old bald cypress.
This is one of the larger trees along the trail.
This was the 1st of 3 found along the trail – Keep your eyes peeled!
Freshwater marshes adorn the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve.
Crossing the waterway is made easier by this nice bridge.
Soak up the scenery before the turn to the Marsh Overlook Trail.
