Fallen trees along the path can be cumbersome to get around, although some of them are quite beautiful like this one which has an orange interior.
Serenity is called traipsing through these woods.
The Perimeter Trail has a good surface for walking.
Some of the many kind of mushrooms you'll find along the trail.
View looking west of the Patuxent River and the old Chesapeake Beach Railway bridge support. Across the river to the north is Mount Calvert Park, a tobacco plantation that was in operation from around 1780 until 1860.
