This is really the first opportunity to see the lake if you're starting at the bottom of the trail...which I don't recommend. I would do this thing as a downhill, but i'm not sure if it's supposed to be directional. All the signs indicate it's uphill.
There's a lot of really cool rock formations as you get higher up The Esse's Trail
I don't think I've ever run across a trashcan along a trail in the woods...people are definitely using though! Who dumps this thing?!? :D
most of the lake views are inhibited by trees. There's better lake views on the Table Mound trail at the end of this trail.
