Hikers at the end of the trail, overlooking the ice field.

There are opportunities to explore the end of the trail, especially as the snow levels recede. Take the opportunity to take in the different views, even if it means taking one of the small trails that fan out at the top.

The trail narrows and wraps around the hillside and offers sweeping views of the mountains of the Kenai Peninsula.

Toward the end of the trail, it levels out before climbing up the hillside past the Harding Icefield Shelter.
