View from bench overlooking Edisto River below is a steep embankment. Trail back to park is left mostly following the river the rest of way back.
Possibly the only slight water crossing if a good bit of rain from the looks of it.
Probably biggest challenge for less mobile or adventure for others, down and up a ravine with stairs cut into the hill side that was a dry crossing as water seemed to fall into a hole, otherwise for the most part, trail is very little climbing.
One of three benches along trail, the only little foot bridge over a ravine ahead, just right is road with thin buffer of trees and for the most part the trail is like this except by the river a few more roots to watch for.
Some bird houses are more hidden than this one among the trees along the trail for bats, wood ducks among other winged animals.
Where the gravel starts to end that can be challenging at the beginning and an easier smoother trail starts.
