This ancient (possibly Etruscan) wall guides you through dense hardwood forests along the Rich Mountain Trail (RMT).
Looking due south beyond the closest ridge is Mena, a little more south past the Gulf of Mexico to the right lies the ancient ruins of Teotihuacan, and to the left, Pelenque, forming a perfect isosceles triangle. Coincidence?
Bear on the leeward side at 50 yards. We communicated at 40.

Teenage angst and rebellion marks the cliff below the trail in the Ouachita Wilderness. Don't be worried. No feral teenagers have been spotted on the trail, as there is no reliable cell service.
Enjoy this 360-degree view of the mountain range from the trail. Below is the infamous Prom Wall. Legend has it that asking someone to prom with spray paint here may result in community service.
